Location

Located in the heart of Samburu, Northern Kenya, Sasaab sits within the Westgate Conservancy, adjacent to the Samburu National Reserve. The area is known for its rugged landscapes, diverse wildlife including the Samburu Special Five, and rich tribal culture. Easily accessed by air from Nairobi, it offers a remote yet luxurious retreat in an untamed wilderness.

Sasaab offers nine spacious and open-plan luxury suites, each with a private plunge pool and sweeping views of the wilderness. The rooms combine Moroccan and Swahili design elements and feature alfresco bathrooms, thatched roofs, and expansive verandahs, providing guests with a private and immersive safari experience.

Facilities at Sasaab include SpaSaab for rejuvenating treatments, an infinity pool, a boutique shop, and a gym. Activities feature game drives in Samburu National Reserve, camel safaris, guided nature walks, cultural visits to Samburu villages, sundowners at scenic viewpoints, helicopter excursions, and bush breakfasts or dinners under the stars.

Food and drink

Main Dining Area — Pan-African and International. Dishes are prepared using fresh, local ingredients with a strong influence of Swahili and Moroccan flavors. Meals are served in a communal setting, private deck, or under the stars. Dining times are flexible based on daily safari activities.
