Location

Located within minutes of Volcanoes National Park’s Kinigi entrance, The Nest sits among rolling gardens edged by volcanic peaks. Guests enjoy easy access to gorilla trekking trails and Jack Hanna’s cottage museum, yet remain secluded in a tranquil forest. Transfers from Kigali International Airport take about 2.5 hours by road or 35 minutes by helicopter.

Rooms

The resort comprises 21 lodges and suites set on stilts throughout pristine eucalyptus forest. Each accommodation features floor-to-ceiling windows or balconies, large soaking tubs, gas fireplaces, rainforest showers, and forest views. Suite types include Forest Lodges, Virunga and Ingagi Suites, and the grand Silverback Suite with private plunge pool.

Facilities and activities

Offerings include a full-service spa with massage, sauna and steam facilities, an infinity-edge pool, fitness centre, archery, guided forest and village walks, cultural drumming circles, bird-watching, local coffee tasting and interactive environmental discovery. Forest Lodge Twin Room (Nestled in Eucalyptus Forest) (77 m²): Similar in design to the King version, these rooms include two twin beds, glass walls that frame nature views, warm wood tones, a cozy fireplace, a freestanding bathtub, and private outdoor deck immersed in nature.
